Greetings from Svin!

I decided to make a few changes to the main page. Input and suggestions are most welcome. As my wife is fond of saying, "Don't freak out, it's not like it was a tattoo or something!" I took this picture of a "Legacy" flight last summer. After cropping it a bit I thought it would make a nice header picture. The aircraft are a P-51 Mustang, F-15 Eagle, F-22 Raptor, and F-16 Fighting Falcon. The quotation(if anyone has ever wondered) is from an old Viking text called "Grimnismal" It is attributed to the Norse God Odin and refers to his two Raven familiars named Huginn and Muninn (Thought and Memory) who whisper the news from faraway battlefields into his ears at night. His fear that they shall not return is prompted by their reports of endless fields of carrion for them to feed upon. It is a fittingly grim tale considering it's origins, and an appropriately cautionary one at that. The endless,mindless, slaying must one day stop or there will be only carnage left. Since surrender is not an option, we must prevail. Many thanks to all the Smackdown Warriors who, like Odin's Ravens, travel the world daily to spread the word.

Unleashing a New Weapon Against the Cyber-jihad

Today we unveil our latest weapon in the fight against YouTube terrorists. We know how valuable your time is, so we wanted to make it even easier for you to participate in the YouTube SMACKDOWN.

To that end, it is with great pleasure that we announce:

jihadi SMACKDOWN of the day

A new tool to help get terrorist recruiting videos off of YouTube. The idea is simple, we will post one video a day. All you need to do is subscribe through your favorite feed reader or sign up to receive a once a day email containing the targeted video. When you receive the notification, simply click the link and flag the video.

If you would like to help promote jihadi SMACKDOWN of the day, email the page to your friends and family. You can also embed the feed into your website, blog, or social networking page.

Marine Corporal Jesse Mills

Although I am not related to this young gentleman I am proud to count him as a friend and comerade. He will be deploying to Iraq in the fall. May god have mercy on the heathens, for Corporal Mills and his brothers in arms surely shall not. Jesse, and thousands of others like him are the reason and purpose of the Smackdown. I suspect that many of you may know someone like him. He is a typical young American, which is to say, that he is remarkable. The best and brightest of his generation have stepped forward to voluntarily defend their country against a savage and barbaric enemy. We owe them a debt that we may never repay.

Jesse grew up in Mt.Airy Md. a few blocks from where my wife and I lived at the time. I met his father through our association with the local shooting club. I watched as Jesse and his brothers grew into young men, a process that is still ongoing. His older brother Michael Jr. served two tours in Korea and a third in Iraq. His younger brother Richard will soon graduate from Fork Union Military Academy with an impressive scholastic record. His mother Claire works full time in the O.R. of a large local hospital and his father owns and operates his own private detective agency. Did I say remarkable? Perhaps it is not so remarkable that the fertile ground of a free country should bear such fruit. I firmly believe that, in this day and age, only America is capable of producing this kind of citizen-soldier.

That is the reason that I hate the Jihadists. That is why the Smackdown is so important. I don't have to tell you what Corporal Mills thinks of the youtube vermin that we confront every day. The contrast between this purposeful young Marine and and his rabid and hate-filled protagonists could not be more vivid. It is this comparison, more than any other, that judges the worth of a civilization. Because of Corporal Mills and others like him, America will endure and prosper. Those caricatures of society that only produce hatred and violence will be ground into the dust by the implacable juggernaut of history.

April was a ca-razy month!

New keyboard warriors joined us to help with the Smackdown/SIT projects and I have to say, the "get right to it - gonna take care of business" mentality is heartwarming, and, a total blast!
They reflect that pay-it-forward attitude Americans have when it comes to watching the backs of our military, as the military watches ours.

If anyone else wants to join the fray of posting videos to your own sites - just let us know. I will happily add you to the daily list of five videos that goes out for Smackdown!
If you would like to post just one a day, I'll add you to the "jihadi SMACKDOWN of the day" list.
It's easy, and it makes one feel "useful" in this cyber-GWOT!

Celebrimbor GotWarPorn? ("why yes! yes we do!") is posting videos regularly at his site as well as keeping videos posted and conversation going at jihadChat - StarCMC has started a very active thread at FreeRepublic and let me tell you - they are the greatest!
